Some known children are: Harriet b. 1824, Benjamin b. 1826, Richard Byron b. 1829, Ann b. 1835 (this Ann married Joseph Towning in 1851 and Joseph Foster in 1852).
Wade 1850-1920 Wortley Julie Wade Robert Henry Wade and his wife Mary Jane nee Russell left Leeds c1879 for Adelaide, Australia. He was a brickmaker/potter. In 1917 his sons, Percy and Alfred, who were in the Australian Imperial Force, visited their relatives in Wortley. Percy stayed with Miss Emily Wade, 1 Pinder Street, Lower Wortley.

They had 16 children between 1838 and 1864 (George, Samuel, Eliza, William, Hannah (blind), Benjamin, Sarah Ann, Ellen and Mary (twins?) Walls Before 1881 Castleford, Leeds, Yorkshire, England James A Walls Family came to America in 1881. I believe they settled in Florida as they were there in 1885. In 1900 they were in Pennsylvania where they remained. My grandfather was Arthur Francis Walls born in Rawmarsh,Yorkshire, England Apr.2,1869.

Watkinson 1780-1900 Stanningley Tim Watkinson A James Watkinson was a whitesmith and property owner in Stanningley from about 1815 to 1835. It is not known if he origined there or moved there (? from Bolton). His family and descendents were and raised in Stanningley.
Watson 1800+Leeds   Geraldine Gasparelli Jesse Wilfred Watson born 6.9.1869. son of Francis Watson, journeyman stone mason. Grew up in the Whitehall area of Leeds and went to school there. Birth not registered. Not found on any census until 1901, when he is married with a family and living in Bordesley Green, near Manchester, a Dyer. According to hearsay he was one of a large family, ran away at the age of 14 and had no further contact with his family. Nothing more is known apart from the details on his marriage certificate.

Thomas died in 1750 and Jane remarried to Anthony Brook 1756 - interested

Only thing I have on him is from his Marriage Certificate, which unfortunately did not list his parents. In 1818 he turns up in Brantingham near Hull in East Yorkshire when he marries Mary Shaw.

Wood 1840-50 Chapel Allerton Alan Heald I have obtained the birth certificate of my great grandfather (John Wood - born 16/5/1849 at Chepel Allerton) and have found that he was the son of a James Wood and a Frances Heald. I must assume that John Wood was illegitimate as he uses the name John Wood Heald for the rest of his life. This is hampering me going further back into my family tree. Has anybody any suggestions or have I hit a brick wall?

Wood 1800-1900     John WOOD and his wife Mary Ann WOOD (formerly PARKER) married in 1841. They had a son Francis WOOD (My great grandfather)born on 12th May 1847 at Hargreaves court, Little Queen Street, Leeds. I believe that they must have had other children in the six year gap before Francis and perhaps even more after. Do you have this couple in your family tree?
