Fairhead pre 1945 Leeds Lisa Fairhead
Falkingham 1881
Whitkirk, Colton, Hunslet Adam Falkingham I am reseaching My family name and was intrigued to find that the first plan of Leeds shows The family owning property in leeds in 1560.
The family sold the hall and land after 20 years litigation battle with the crown.
As far as i can see (from John Harrisons will) the Falkingham male line ended there as two daughters married into the Hammerton and Green family with no brothers mentioned.
Therefore i am tracing back my eldest known relatives, whom i find lived in colton-whitkirk.
So i am tracing a Percival Falkingham (born 1886)and his father Edward Falkingham and mother Florence Falkingham (formerly Peraux).
Any help you could offer would be greatly apprieciated.
