HAREHILLS CEMETERY

Commenced: 2nd August 1998.

This is by far the largest project undertaken and is a long term project. The Burial Ground at Harehills was opened in 1908 and is quite large in size. The Cemetery is owned by the local Council and the Registers are held at their Head Office, at Lawnswood.

Current Status:

Conscecrated Burials indexed so far: - approx 35,521

KILLINGBECK CEMETERY

The original Registers for Killingbeck (Roman Catholic) are held on site in the cemetery Office. They have 4 completed registers. They have kindly allowed us to borrow microfiche copies of the registers for indexing purposes. Once complete the index will be held at the cemtery and also they archives at Headingley. Records for the cemetery commenced circa 1898. This cemetery is the main cemetery for Roman Catholic burials in the area taking over from St. Patrick's Church.
