Status:
On St Marks Road, this is one of the so called 'million' churches built after the Napoleonic Wars to serve the needs of rapidly expanding industrial. The government provided building funds. St Marks was built in 1832/3 designed by Atkinson and Sharpe. This church was closed for worship early in the millenium and is now empty (2)
