The following Description from the '1893 Kelly's Directory of Leeds, Sheffield and Rotherham' 1 St. Patrick's, York Road, erected in 1831-2 at a cost, including site, of £2,500, is an edifice in Early English style, from designs by Mr. John CHILD: the building has now (1892) been converted so as to serve as an enlargement of the adjoining schools: the burial ground, neglected and desecrated, serves as a playground for the children.
